De Coeur de Boeuf tomaat heeft niet alleen een bijzonder uiterlijk, maar ook een bijzondere smaak. Deze tomaat rijpt van binnen uit naar buiten. De vrucht is dus ook rijp en smaakvol als hij nog wat groen is. De Coeur de Boeuf is een grote tomaat met een geribbelde buitenkant. Hij heeft vol vruchtvlees en een matig sap- en zuurgehalte.
