De red meat radijs kun je in dunne plakken schaven en rauw gebruiken in bijvoorbeeld een salade. Ook is het erg lekker om de radijs bijvoorbeeld in te leggen in zoetzuur. Zo blijft ook de kleur mooi behouden.
